Digitisation has completely transformed how we conduct business in India. Adopting technology and digitised healthcare have also expanded the healthcare industry. The National Digital Health Mission, a pilot project, was launched on 15 August 2020, under which Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) scheme was launched on 27 September 2022. The Central Government executed this mission to digitise the nation's healthcare system (NDHM).

The Indian Government started digitising medical records with the Digital Health ID Card 2022. The Health ID Portal, accessed at healthid.ndhm.gov.in, has this feature. Thanks to our honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who launched Health Card, you can save all of your medical records online on a single digital card known as a Digital Health Card.

Let's explore the complete guide on the Health Id Card!

What is a digital health ID card?

The digital health ID card is an identification card that contains information about the cardholder's identity, such as health records. The cardholder's health records can be accessed and shared electronically without any problem using the health ID card.

As part of ABDM, users receive a digital health ID, which is used to capture and save their health information digitally.

The mission allows for the successful implementation of the Digital Health ID system across all Union Territories for one year, including Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Ladakh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu. The central government finally started the operation in October 2022 once the pilot mission was completed.
