Delhi Breathes Easier : SC Eases GRAP-4 Restrictions as AQI Improves
In a significant relief for Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court on Thursday allowed relaxation of GRAP-4 restrictions, as the Air Quality Index (AQI) improved to a ‘moderate’ 161 after weeks of hazardous levels. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has now reverted to GRAP-2 measures, retaining stricter curbs from GRAP-3 to prevent a relapse into toxic air conditions.
