MediBuddy has announced partnership with Philips to launch an advanced heart health monitoring service across India, integrating Philips’ cutting-edge HeartPrint technology via its digital app. This initiative aims to improve preventive heart care by allowing people to identify early indications and symptoms of a cardiac issue at home with the help of their smartphones.

By leveraging AI-powered longitudinal analytics, this is a preventative tool to track and predict cardiovascular risk as opposed to an ECG that serves only the present condition of heart health.

How it Works: Using the MediBuddy app, patients can simply scan their finger with a smartphone camera to measure a wide range of crucial health indicators, including:

  • Cardiovascular age
  • Risk of diabetes and OSA
  • Cardio-respiratory fitness
  • Heart rate variability
  • Cardiac index
  • Blood pressure variability
  • Stress disorder prediction

This data helps doctors to detect and interfere in early stages and engage patients more effectively.

The assessment consists of two parts: a 5-day Resting Heart Assessment and a 7-day Reactive Heart Assessment. Once done, users receive detailed reports that identify key biomarkers, highlight areas for improvement, and provide tailored recommendations.

According to Satish Kannan, Co-founder and CEO of MediBuddy, “With heart disease as one of India’s leading causes of death, early detection is crucial. Our collaboration with Philips transforms how Indians approach heart health by providing accessible and advanced cardiac tracking tools, empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being and enabling early intervention.”

By integrating Philips’s HeartPrint into its platform, MediBuddy aims to improve health outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance population health strategies across its partner network.
