Acclaimed gastroenterologists in India have established the first Gastro AI Academy in Mumbai, in academic partnership with FUJIFILM India, a first of its kind move observed in an alternate universe like medical field.
This initiative aims to revolutionize the training of GI physicians and surgeons by introducing cutting edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for improvements in patient care, especially diagnostics and treatment planning.
The academy was launched at HN Reliance Hospital, hosting national and international group of gastroenterology specialists who have conducted lectures on the use of AI in diagnostic assistance, predictive analysis and data management. Special emphasis was made on AI's role in the early detection of gastric and colon cancers.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Amit Maydeo, Chairman of the Institute of Gastrosciences at HN Reliance Hospital, highlighted the transformative potential of AI in Gastroenterology.
